Lowered Required Hours

Under certain circumstances, reductions apply to the hours criterion. There are reduced hours in the event of pregnancy and incapacity for work. During the pregnancy you can count the hours for 16 weeks. And in the event of incapacity for work, the hour criterion has been lowered to 800 hours on an annual basis.

When can you get the reduced hours criterion?

There is a reduced hours criterion for entrepreneurs who receive disability benefits. If you have a Wajong, WIA, WAO, WAZ or Sickness Benefits Act, an hour criterion of 800 hours often applies. Always discuss your plans to start a business with the benefits agency first, in order to gain insight into the consequences on your benefit.
